Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich Esset home auf meinen Computer und mein Tablett installiert. Immer wenn ich das Internet (FireFox) öffne kommt die Warnmeldung "Sicheres Banking & Surfen ist erst nach einem Neustart des Computers voll funktionsfähig." Den Neustart habe ich bereits mehrmals veranlasst. Die Warnmeldung kommt aber immer wieder. Was soll ich machen? Bin ich beim OnlineBanking und Surfen nicht sicher?

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

on other webpages a black bar drops down from the bookmarks bar and blocks the top of the pages, how do i get rid of it? oddly on this page, the bar does not show up

I had 11031 tabs open. I decided to save all of them because my browser was getting slow.

Just running "select all" was taking minutes, and resizing the window was very very sluggish.

So I selected them all

then I added them to a bookmark folder

Then I went in the toolbar where that bookmark folder was created, and I middle-clicked on it to open all tabs again.

And then the warning "you are about to open X tabs" appears

And the problem is that the number is 8571 not the 11031

Why is firefox losing 2460 of my tabs ?

Also, bookmarking all the tabs, took 4 seconds, while selecting all tabs too minutes. I think the "select all" function could do well to have some optimization as it starts getting slow with as few as 1000 tabs. And

I have a Mozilla account. On one laptop, I am logged in automatically when I open Firefox, and can access bookmarks and saved logins. The same is true on my Android phone. But I have a second laptop on which Firefox will not recognize my login credentials. I can log in to Mozilla Support, Monitor, etc., but not the browser itself. When I open Firefox, the login dialog pops up, but when I enter the password, it isn't recognized.

Since a few days ago, Firefox has been struggling with the likes of youtube, twitch and other streaming videos where the the videos will constantly freeze up, forcing me to use a different browser in order to watch videos.

Nothing has changed (ie I have not added any new extensions), and have also done a flat re-install of Firefox to no avail (as well as trying firefox without the Mozilla VPN on to see if that did anything).

I really REALLY don't like tab buttons

How can I make sure they NEVER come back ?

I have tried the violentmonkey script, doesn't work, I have it right now and look, there are TWO tab buttons on my tab !

I tried everything I could find and still no luck. Read firefox stores 15 prior session setting to restore from and they are nowhere to be found. I'm at a lose on how to move forward. First firefox did it and was able to recover a couple of weeks ago, now windows update did it!

Mozilla usually doesn’t restore all the windows I’m working in; when I open it, it only restores a few of them. I usually use the ‘History’ > ‘Recently Closed’ > ‘Reopen All Windows’ option, but this time not all the windows I need are being restored. My most important window, containing 1,000 essential tabs for various articles, hasn’t been restored, and it seems as though I have absolutely no chance of finding it at all; I don’t even have a ‘Restore previous sessions’ button. I don’t know how to get that window back, because restoring the tabs one by one would take an age and I’d probably lose a lot of them (it’s very important that these were tabs, not bookmarks). What should I do?

All my bookmarks disappeared and the bookmark button does not work. I have refreshed Firefox - no change. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but still no restoration of Bookmark button functionality. OS Win10

I have an issue with grouped tabs but I know where the grouped tabs are, I click the arrow facing down and it doesn't show the grouped tabs that I had, I don't know if it's because I turned off my PC when firefox was still open but I do that most of the time, when I opened firefox it said that it couldn't restore previous session or something like that and next thing I notice is that all my grouped tabs are gone. Is there a way to get them back?
