Sometimes the browser will not allow me to go back. For example, When on Wikipedia, if I click on a picture, I cannot go back to the previous page. Previous versions of Firefox did not have this problem. How do I get the old version back?

The new version is a downgrade.

Click the Firefox button, then select Add-ons to open the add-ons manager. If you have McAfee Site Advisor it will be listed in the Extensions section. If you do not have that one, another add-on may be causing the problem. The following link shows how to establish if this is the case and identify what one is causing the problem - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes

Do you have the McAfee Site Advisor? That add-on is known to cause problems with the back button. If you have that add-on uninstall it and the back button should work again.

I don't know. How would I find out? And if I did, how would I uninstall it?

I doubt I do have it. I never downloaded it.

And I never had this issue with previous versions of Firefox.

The new version is a downgrade as far as I am concerned, and the best solution to the issue would be to be able to go back to the previous version. Is that even possible?
