I want to go to a website with "www2" and the "2" keeps being removed.
Why isthe "2" always removed from "www2" when my wife (her computer) types an address into the URL space?

Can you give an example that others can test?
It is possible that you have a bookmark or history item with the www. prefix. I think that Firefox only looks at the top level domain without the prefix and shows the first sub level domain it finds.
Here's what I have: https://www2.bible.com/bible/233/2SA.7.IUMINR When my wife enters the URL on her computer, the "2" in "www2" disappears. I'm puzzled. I've looked at my security programs and in both computers they appear identical. I looked at our Firefox settings, and they too look identical.
That would be the site issue as clicking myself nothing as www2 shows up. Maybe they no longer use it so your to contact them if your having issue using their site.
I was able to enter the address by typing in the address bar of a new tab. I got the error 404 which means that the address was not found. The error was shown on a www page (not www2).
I can load bible. com. It shows a www address.
Thanks to all who attempted to help! We appreciate the effort even though my wife's computer is not cooperating. Thanks!
