Address bar search or google search doesn't work - Many times

Hello,

It happened many times that randomly in a day, couple of times, if I start typing for searching anything directly into the address bar, no results appear and the tab stays blank. Same goes with the google.com where after opening google.com it opens the webpage, however, the results is a totally blank tab, it's like I never typed for any websites.

This problem I started encountering since last 10 days, this problem was not there earlier.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

I have refreshed my firefox, disabled all extensions. Problem still persists.
