Address/location bar always redirects to search, will not go to address.

Hi Mark, that's strange. If you type something that looks like an address, say example.com then the top line of the drop-down should indicate http://example.com/ -- Visit Does yours always say Search with [default search engine], or does it say Visit but it actually searches instead?
