Please reload the window.

This is an error that is very common on message boards, and only seems to happen fore firefox...people on chrome, IE, etc don't seem to get it. This error has been occuring since the very first version of firefox and has never been fixed since.

You get this error when you have a thread open in a tab and try to reply to it after somet ime has passed. Refreshing it doesn't fit the problem unless you use ctrl+f5. It's very annoying, when is it going to get fixed?

This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Uh, you want me to clear my cookies every single time this problem occurs (which seems to be a few hours)?

And how come cookies don't get corrupted in other browsers?

Do you need to clear the cookies or do a hard refresh that often?

Cookies shouldn't get corrupted.
If they do then that usually indicates that other (security) software or a Firefox extension is causing problem.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

You can try to reset Firefox.

Reset creates a new profile and tries to import some settings from the old profile leaving the old profile intact.

What do you mean? You suggested the solution of clearing the cookies...this is a problem that occurs with most message boards. Open a thread in a tab, leave it there for a while, and you get the error message when trying to reply to it.

Refreshing the tab with ctrl+F5 will fix it, but its getting very annoying to have to do that repeatedly.

Cookies on a message board should expire that soon that you experience difficulties with posting messages.

I only see this if I restart Firefox and reopen a specific page automatically or "csrf" type cookies or the session ID aren't valid anymore for other reasons.
Resubmitting the page usually fixes this.

Well yes, ctrl+f5 will fix it...but why doesn't this problem happen in other browsers (apparently)?

It's particularly annoying when i close the browser at the end of every day and have to manually refresh all my message board tabs the next day to post.

So...whats the permanent solution to this problem?
