Just upgraded to TB 78.4.0, since I can't use Deep Dark any more or for the time being, I'm using dark mode, but the menu drop downs are light and the launch app screen I use in lue of defalt is light as well. Could You please fix this. or wait for Steva to update

Please post a screen shot and describe your video hardware.

Old Asus aptop G51Jx-A1 with Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC ver. 1809 build 17763.1217 Nvidia 340M. You know any moron could go through the app to find what's not dark.

Another screw up I found is, I used to be able to drag my launch app screen where I wanted it and after that, any time I clicked a link the launch app screen would open in the place I specified by the earlier drag openings. restarts had no effect on this. multiple links would just stack neatly staggered. Not any more, now it opens in the middle of the app all the time no matter where I drag it. Thinking I should revert back to 68. These sh!theads going in and randomly screwing with code, just like how 7 was so smooth and now the herky jerky WTF 10.

No one has intentionally tried to break things, in fact dark mode is greatly improved in version 78. Also, not every one of thousands of hardware combinations can be tested and I find no bug reports that describe your issue. Certainly possible a 10-12 year old G51Jx-A1 might have issues. Here are some ideas: 1. disable hardware acceleration in options - type accel into search to find it 2. make sure your 340M graphics firmware is fully up to date.

If both of those fail and you are still unhappy, perhaps you should just not use dark mode or ditch Thunderbird.

Latest driver, hardware accelerator is always off. Did you even bother looking at the screen shots you asked for, do they look dark? the older version worked with out issues, intentionally try to break, I didn't say intentionally, I said randomly. the older version with Stevas Deep Dark extension was way better. I'm going back. maybe someday you all will pull your heads out.

acceleration was changed in 78 to be on by default, unless you turned it off after updating.

I asked for it, so of course I looked at it.

No, Thunderbird updates will not wait for Stevas Deep Dark extension to update.

Don't remember saying any thing about Thunderbird updates will not wait for Stevas Deep Dark extension to update, I said I can't use Deep Dark any more or for the time being. Any way, here's Dark done right, 68.8.0 with the Deep Dark Add-on. Maybe you should give Steva a call to get your heads pried out, bunch of door knobs.

Well you prefer that. Congratulation on your choice. Personally I can think of little more aggravating. So it truly is a world of each to their own.

Colors Thunderbird uses are defined in the windows theme, either directly, or as opposites of colours defined. Thunderbird does not generally pick on the colours directly. So if you do not like the color, change the windows theme until you do.
