Why is Firefox Developer Edition not working after Mac update to Catalina Version 10.15.2?

Hi,

Recently updated mac to Catalina Version 10.15.2 and Firefox Developer edition stopped working.

Have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but with no luck.

Firefox opens up and starts, but is extremely sluggish and unresponsive.

Any suggestions?

I miss using Firefox.

You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

I don't think this is the solution, because I didn't have a profile before. I used it without one.

This issue came up after I updated the mac software.
