A tech from the above number took over my computer to check it for viruses and said he found one. I paid him to delete it. Is this legit? He did restore my Thunderbird program, but I always wondered if I really had a virus and if the number 800-299-0962 is really Thunderbird support.

Third party. Mozilla nor Thunderbird doesn't have a call support.
