Thunderbird overwrites changes in prefs.js when starts
Hi all! First of all, sorry in advance because I'm pretty sure that I will make grammatical mistakes 'cause english is not my native language. Now, goin' into the problem: I have an issue with an user (a v.i.p. user to make it worst).
When this user makes account changes in the client like store a copy when sent mails with an identity in the sent folder of her imap account directory, this changes are stored correctly in her profile but if she reboot the client, Thunderbird overwrites this change to a previous incorrect value in prefs.js not letting her make changes.
This problem only occours in her TB profile with her client and her computer and, I know, the solution is clear and easy: Erase the profile and create a new one but this is an action that I can't afford because the v.i.p. status.
Someone knows if there is a concrete file in her profile or config parameter that is blocking me to make changes on this imap folders? Thanks in advance.

check that a) there is only one prefs.js file, b) that it has not been set to read-only
Finally I could solve this problem yesterday. Apparently the issue was located in one of the identities configurated for the main account. This identity had a corrupted smtp server configuration I couldn't change (I realized this in the moment I tried to change this config). Once I deleted this smtp server entrance I could redo the identity and configure Sent, CC and Archives copies correctly.

Hi Wayne. Thanks for your response. 1) Yes, there is only one prefs.js, TB didn't create new prefs files. 2) Hasn't been set to read-only. In fact, TB can write the prefs.js file when the user modify her account settings and the file maintain this changes when the client closed until TB starts anew. In this moment, TB overwrites prefs file with this old saved (and wrong) settings.
