Hi Team,

After installation of latest update and restart of the system,

Issues: - (1)No Url are opening when clicking on Go/Enter command. (2) No new tabs are opening. (3) Firefox is not closing on clicking close icon on the top.(Right clicking on the Firefox icon (on Taskbar) closes it) (4) No welcome page as well.

Following changes i have tried, but it showed same blank screen :

(1) Uninstalling and installing latest version mentioned below : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/uninstall-firefox-from-your-computer

(2) Installed degraded version 57.0.4 but the same issue.

(3) Tried starting with Safe mode for both installation but it did not work.

Let me know if you need any further information. Screenshot attached. Thanks.

Did you also uninstall and delete the Mozilla folder and then reinstall?

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

@WestEnd - I did remove the folder after unistalling and then tried re-installing again.

@FredMcD - I don't have access currently as Admin to remove and re-add the program from trusted list.I tried enforcing latest policies of internet security software mcAfee, but that did not work.

However, I tried custom installation with different source directory (D: )and it somehow worked. The browser started working fine as of now.

Seems like internet policy are not allowing C: drive installation to work.Not sure.

Thanks both of you for your help.
