I can't click a link in a webpage, it just does not respond at all. I have to load the page in Crome in order to be able to do it.

more options

In many webpages, such as one that has a series of picturs or whatever, or a airline site, Firefox won't respond when I click to advance to the next page. It works fine in Chrome, so the problem is not the website, only Firefox. I've checked through options and so on but can find no setting that seems to deal with this.

Major sites should work the same in Firefox as they do in other browsers. Can you rule out a possible issue with a content blocker? That could be:

  • An extension that blocks ads or scripts -- examples include Adblock Plus, uBlock Origin, uMatrix, and NoScript (often there's a toolbar button to adjust how a page displays)
  • An extension that blocks trackers -- examples include Blur, Disconnect, Ghostery, and Privacy Badger (often there's a toolbar button to adjust how a page displays)

You can view, disable, and often remove extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any system extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything tha looks as though it could be blocking content? If in doubt, disable, or check its Options for configuration settings that might help.

Any improvement?
