For a few weeks, Firefox has not been saving any URLs I add as exceptions to stop prompting me to save my passwords. When this started, it wiped out all of the pages that I had already blocked. I've tried adding pages back in, and they will work for that session, but when I restart the browser, I am back to square one.

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.

  • do not clear the Site Preferences
  • clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
  • clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep

I just checked, and the only thing I have set to clear upon closing is the cache.

This is still a problem. Today, I tried restarting with addons disabled - that made no difference. I also tried creating a new profile, and the same problem existed there too.

Anything else I can try to fix this?
