How can I disable Firefox 50 from installing Application Update Service Helper?
I work in a school district where we have managed users (students) using Mac OS. They also do not have access to an admin account. In order to get around this we use munki which allows them one-click access to the applications we approve and takes care of the admin credentials. This is how we deploy Firefox. Usually it is just a matter of adding the latest Firefox download to the repository and we are good to go.
Since the roll out of Firefox 50 and above after we deploy the package Firefox asks for admin credentials on first launch. This is to install the new "Helper tool". So what I would like to know is if their is a way to get this Helper tool in a separate package or to disable it or somehow run it (via command line or configuration) during installation.
