Before i updated to 34.0.5, I had images on a new tab page and on the default home page, i could click on the quick links. Nothing on the default home page works! I have no images on a new tab page! What happened?

You can check the browser.newtab.url pref on the about:config page and set that pref to your preferred new tab page.

  • the default home page is about:home
  • the default new tab page with the tiles is about:newtab
  • for a blank page you can use about:blank

See this article about the New Tab page (about:newtab):

I understand your reply of getting the new tab page to show tabs. I already had some default icons and once I updated to 34.0.5, the icons on the new tab page went away.

Also, the links on the default home page DO NOT WORK. If I type something in the search field on the Firefox page, nothing happens. When I click on the quick links below (downloads, bookmarks, etc.) on the default home page, nothing happens! This was not the case before I upgraded to 34.0.5.
