We both ended "Bit Defender" and it somehow ruined her Thunderbird and all of it's content. She no longer has access to Thunderbird. I have a business and she is my accountant. Please help.

There's a box with 5 choices that comes up when I open TB email. The bottom one is about integration. Not sure what to do with any of them. I'm using a laptop for emailing

This only recently started happening. This has been tested on 3 different computers. Windows 10 Pro on all three.

With VPN on: Bluemail works fine.

Thunderbird can connect and download messages, but when I try to send a message, it gives an error.

With VPN off:

Bluemail and Thunderbird both work fine.

Can't drag and drop attachments from Thunderbird into file manager. I get a windows message box that says "Unspecified error" white cross on red circle. If I drag and drop with the control key held down it creates a file of zero length in the selected destination, It's not running as admin. Problem only just occurred.

I rather doubt the veracity of this, seeing it includes “I can see the full list of your contacts from your phone and all your social networks” — since I do not access the Internet from any telephone.

It has been several years since I’ve received something of this sort, so have remained confident that my system(s) remain well-protected. However, since the message did arrive in one of my email accounts, is there still the potential of my contacts list(s) being compromised, and, if so, how to safeguard against that?

Thunderbird e-mail does not connect to the server. It times out. Internet connection is good as verified with service provider. I have exited from the email and tried to connect again. Still no connection.

Hello, since few times it is impossible for me to connect to my mail serveur (sfr.fr) using thunderbird. I get an error message and it don't work even iI feel the good password (this one in functionning with SFRmail app.). I am using thuderbird for a long time and I should appréciate to use it anymore. When I open up my emails in Thunderbird, it takes hours to open the home page, most of the time it is a blank page/screen. When lucky, I can see my email home page, however, sending and receiving are also very very slow and take long time to send out and receive. I tried to compact folders, but the screen remains blank and loading of my account page never opens thus I am not able to do any edit or change for my email account in Thunderbird.

Recently updated to ESR Meadow.

Now when I try to save attachment from an email by dragging and dropping to desktop, Windows pops up "Error Moving File or Folder - Unspecified error" and the operation fails.

And when I try to save attachment from an email by right click > open > Save dialog, the save filename is always "nsmail" but with the original file extension. E.g. a jpg attachment would come up as "nsmail.jpg", and a txt file attachment would come up as nsmail.txt. It does then save it, but why lose the filename?

It used to preserve the attachment filename, I'm sure! And drag and drop to desktop was such a convenient feature!

I have tried in Troubleshoot mode and behaviour is the same. I have tried in Windows Safe mode and behaviour for Save is the same; but drag and drop is completely disabled there (when I drag it, it shows a circle with line through icon).

Is it just me?

I have four AOL-based eMail accounts I follow on TB; let's call them A, B, C and D. The folder contents on A & C are correct. However, for some odd reason, TB is placing the contents of A's eMail folders in B and in D! I have deleted the accounts twice, closed TB, re-started, and re-added B and D accounts, but the contents still are of A's eMails?!? Please help!

About 2 months ago, I had a very useful exchange with Lin regarding backing up my Thunderbird data; I wanted to look at the exchange again, since I apparently failed to save it externally; Is there a way to access that exchange?

My SENT messages are missing from my SENT box, which is greyed out. What do I do. Can I get my "sent" messages back?

Hello. I need to reduce size of my email folders - specifically gmail. I am trying to delete a large series of attachments, while keeping the original email. SOMETIMES this works, but sometimes it does not, and then I am stuck! Any ideas? THanks.

The method I formally used (Ctrl+) to increase text font size is no long working nor is Ctrl with mouse scrolling, nor is any other options I've found in settings. The font size on header and side bars is increasing but not the text of emails.

My email, which was formerly with Comcast, now has Yahoo Mail as its back end. Yahoo Mail allows remote contact, and when I logon to my browser, it displays all the photos inline . In Thunderbird, it does not, and collects them as attachments at the end. I have set Thunderbird to Allow remote content ... and have no exceptions entered. I've tried different formats, including Don't allow ... with the photo stream as an exception, but that doesn't work either. The Don't allow option displayed the yellow banner etc -- on practically every email I received -- including a login to Mozilla!

I really dislike Yahoo Mail, so am hoping there's a Thunderbird solution so that I can see this email every week. Thanks, Chris

Thunderbird version: 153.0.3 (64-bit), Meadow, release channel, fully up to date.

I can successfully insert my local PNG into a composed HTML email, tick “Attach this image to the message,” and add a hyperlink to the image. The hyperlink works when the email is sent.

The problem occurs when trying to use this permanently as the account signature. HTML signatures I've tried either lose the image, show a broken-image icon, or fail to preserve the clickable image when used automatically.

I have also tested an HTML signature using a local file:///C:/... image reference, which produces a broken-image icon in Thunderbird.

I do not want to host the image remotely. I want the PNG embedded in the HTML/signature and sent with each email.

Can you confirm the correct method specifically for Thunderbird 153.0.3 on Windows, and whether there is a current issue with embedded/Base64 images or clickable image signatures in this version?
