What does the setting "browser.sessionhistory.optimize_eviction" do?
Can someone point me to a list of what all the about:config properties are for? Aloha

closetotheedge,
I am sorry to say that there is not Full list as there is over a billion of them on there. (Sarcasm). But, there are a lot mentioned in this KB Article on Mozillazine listed below:

For normal settings and for tab settings, and search for some more hidden ones can be turned up in mozillazine.org
More information on configuration variables available in about:config (entries) and for users not familiar with the process there is about:config (How to change) -- Specialized list of only Tabs configuration variables.
This is what I use for most searches of MozillaZine (keyword is :: )
From the bugzilla reports there was probably discussion in a developer newsgroup, but it also looks like it may no longer be used, is a one time use per user, or was during beta testing, It was not documented on MozillaZine by someone who knows or has found it elsewhere.
When you get something that rare, you can do an unqualified Google search (got 8 hits), turned nothing of particular interest, you would have to check the code, there was a reference to source forge that I did not include.
