How can I make the X on each tab red for the tab that is active?

FireFox version 3.xx.xx.xx used to make the X on each tab, for closing the tab, red which helped to indicate the tab that is active. I would also like the bar at the bottom to show the progression of a page which is loading and also for any downloads.
