That looks like it's due to the "Show text suggestions when typing on the physical keyboard" preference in Windows settings.
Yes this does not look like the inline spellchecker in desktop Firefox. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-firefox-spell-checker
