Can't access embedded web server for printer

I'm trying to access my printer's embedded web server (EWS) by typing the printer's IP address into the address bar (as instructed by Dell support ). However, when I do this on desktop, Firefox treats the IP address as a search term, and takes me to search results instead of the the EWS. When I tried on Firefox for Android and Firefox Focus for Android, I did not have the same issue, but instead was taken to an all-black page (still unable to access the settings I need!). Any thoughts as to what might be going on and how to fix it?

Google Chrome treats the IP address as a search term on both desktop and mobile, so this might be a problem bigger than Firefox.

Screenshot of the address bar your typing the IP to? Sounds more like your typing it into a search box rather then into the URL location.

So you are typing in the IP address like the example https://192.168.1.28 or http://192.168.1.28 (or what ever your printer IP is) in the Location (address) bar like you would type in www.example.com ?

It does sound like you are typing this is the Search Bar instead to get search engine results. .
