I know it "makes sense" that it's above the Attachment pane, except I rarely CLICK on the attachment pane. I don't need or want it over there. I need and want it back over with the other controls. But I can't figure out how to put it back. Is there a way? Or am I now going to constantly have to click in the one part of the window I previously almost never ventured?

Thanks!

I've not tried this on 'Attach', but I used same method to move the '3bar menu icon' from far right to far left on the 'Mail Toolbar'.

In Write window 'View' > 'Toolbars' > select 'Customise' New 'Customise' window opens and this allows you to access the 'Composition Toolbar'. Left click and hold down on 'Attach' to grab it. Move it sideways to the left and release the left click to drop into location. Close the Customise window.

Note: the 'Attach' has new functions: Attachment Management Improvements Thunderbird 60 features several improvements to attachment handling in the compose window. Attachments can now be reordered using a dialog, keyboard shortcuts, or drag and drop. The “Attach” button has been moved to the right side of the compose window, above the attachment pane. The localized access key of the attachment pane (e.g. Alt+M for English) now also works to show or hide the pane (on Mac, it’s always Ctrl+M). Hiding a non-empty attachment pane will now show a placeholder paperclip to indicate the presence of attachments and avoid sending them accidentally. The attachment pane can also be shown initially when composing a new message: Right-click on the pane header to enable this option.
