Control A doesn't seem to work any more

Using <ctrl> <A> as short cut for "select all" doesn't seem to work any more

Agggghhhh .... apparently there was an update, and I needed to restart T/B. That seems to have fixed it.

What platform? What version of Thunderbird? In what context?

I've been using it today with no problems...

I'm try to select all emails in a folder to delete them

The "select all" command in the menu under "edit" is greyed out too.
