I have poured over every single article on similar issues with no help. I have tried every single suggestion. After installing windows 10 firefox continuously crashes, I can't open more then 4 tabs at a time. The task manager says Plugin for firefox running at 1.5gb plus firefox itself running at about 1gb. My screen goes black and blotchy and then just dies. Typing this article in itself was painful it is so slow. I'm at my wits end. I feel that obviously everything worked fine on Windows 7 so this definitely has something to do with windows 10. Unfortunately Microsoft is not helpful at all. Surely I can't be the only person with this problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

I really appreciate the effort but I've done all of that numerous times. Think I'm rather going to just go back to XP or learn Linux.
