On log out we redirect the page to login page using response.redirect. This issue is only coming up in mozilla browser. We reporduced multiple times in mozilla31.

This can happen if there are cookies from other domains that need to be cleared and third-party cookies are disabled, so you can't modify or remove them on other domains.

You can use the Live Http Headers extension to see what HTTP response headers are send by the server.

Does this still happen if third-party cookies are enabled?

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

You may have to clear the cookies after making changes to cookie settings.

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
