Firefox replaces manually entered urls with cached ones; specifically makes a https connection where a http connection is given (checked with wireshark)
- I connected to https://www.national-bank.de. The browser gets looped, some error appears, no connection possible; this is probably an error on the website. Yet, firefox has received the certificate from the website and stored the url to its cache. - When I now manually specifically request http://www.national-bank.de by entering the url via keyboard firefox always tries a connection by https (I checked this with wireshark; the request is made to port 443 although -- after hitting Enter -- firefox shows "www.national-bank.de" without any information about the protocol) - Changing browser.urlbar.autofill and the like doesn't make it work - The only way for me at the moment to stop firefox from using the cached url is to clear the cache.
How can I stop this behaviour and make the browser use the given url and not some cached one? I actually think this is rellay a bug.
