Why cant my LG Optimus V install mozilla! Please add support for it.
My phone is a Virgin Mobile pay as you go, I love firefox and would love support for my LG Optimus V please!

Sorry, Firefox is not yet small or fast enough to run properly on phones like the LG Optimus V. We're still working to improve its speed and size, and we might revisit this decision in the future. We're also working on some apps that will let you access your Firefox Sync data from any phone. But for now, we are not actively working on building Firefox for the LG Optimus V.
Well, mbrubeck thank you for the helpful information. I would hope Firefox does make its browser applicable to most users! Even for the people that can't afford the national chain cellphone plans. Thanks again and I hope you put in a good word for me and everyone else that has a less powerful phone. Firefox is my ALL TIME FAVORITE!
Amazing that Firefox will not run on the LG Optimus V. Maybe you should look at hiring some of the developers that worked on the very successful Android Dolphin browser which works great on mine.

The Mozilla Firefox mobile software development for the Optimus V android 2.2 should not be a problem. This phone is used by many people and is a very popular android phone. The blogs and user ratings are very positive on this phone. It would be worth the effort to provide the download.

Hi, Firefox requires Android 2.2 or later and an ARMv7 processor. Installation requires about 17 MB internal or SD card storage. Firefox runs best on devices with at least 512 MB of RAM.

techabout88, the LG Optimus V (a Optimus One variant) unfortunately has a ARMv6 type of cpu and not ARMv7 which is the main reason why the current mobile Firefox releases will not work on it.

These devices have ARMv6 processors and are not compatible with Firefox for Android. We are working on ARMv6 support:
LG Optimus, Optimus M, Optimus T, Optimus S, Optimus V
The LG Optimus One has been around since Oct 2010 so no surprise for it to have a ARMv6 as ARMv7 did not become more common in decent phones until some months later such as the newer successor of Optimus series like the Optimus 2X and newer.
