firefox for my macbook will no longer connect overseas

I have net connectivity via wifi or ethernet but must accept charges at the hotel site prior to being allowed online. Firefox states it can't find the mozilla server or any server, i.e., google. I have the latest firefox version installed. I have used the same net service overseas with firefox in the recent past.

Do you need specific connection settings?

You can find the connection settings in "Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection"
