Installation location

Trying to install Firefox browser in a different location. FireFox version 8.2 for Win 10 does not provide a dialogue box to select a different location. What am I missing?

Chosen solution

Thanks. Finally figured it out. I had a hidden installation of Firefox on the system (it did not show up in the installed programs). For whatever reason, when I attempted to download the setup, it went straight to installation in the same location.

Hi Jeff, which version are you looking for? These days, you can get a full/offline installer with options to change the default location of the program folder. See: Custom installation of Firefox on Windows.

My problem seems to be that the installer that you reference at the link does not provide me with the option to select any customization.

Looking to install latest version (8.2)

Sorry, version 8.2 does not ring a bell. The current release of Firefox for Windows is 81.0.1. Where were you referred to version 8.2?

Did you download the installer from this page with the three drop-downs to choose your system, language, etc:

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Sorry, version 82 not 8.2.

Yes, downloaded from that same page that you reference.
