For the last few days I get this error whenever I open Thunderbird...

The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Thunderbird running on your computer, and then restart Thunderbird to try again.

No other copy of the program is running and even after restarting the computer the message shows up.. I m running a new pc with windows 10.

uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird.
