Is there no longer any add-on or extension that would allow emailing a link directly from the Firefox >v.58+, Address Bar?

ssg978

A couple of years ago, there was a simple extension called, "Email, This!" which allowed a Firefox user to send a link appearing on the Firefox address bar via email. I believe it was not compatible after the version 57 level. That said, I find it hard to believe that I could be the only Firefox user who occasionally sends links of relevant sites to family and/or friends. Is there a reason why Mozilla would not allow this extension or a similar one?

Thank you, SSG978

hi, there's a button to do it if you click the 3-dot menu at the right of the address bar (if you right-click it you can also place it directly in the address bar).

If Firefox is not set up to work with your email program or email website, you could check this article:

Change the program used to open email links

Some extra setup is required for sites that are not on the built-in list.

By the way, if you wanted to also send the contents of a selection of text in the page, you could try a "bookmarklet".
