unable to get email after google security fix

Got an email from Google saying there was a security issue? Appeared to be legit so I clicked and followed the instructions. One ‘app’ was blocked. Now I can’t access my email through Thunderbird. Asks for a POP password, but server is IMAP.

What instructions? Please describe in detail what you did.

What exactly was blocked and why?

Now I can’t access my email through Thunderbird.

What exactly prevents you from accessing your mail?

Also, please post your Troubleshooting Information. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button , then select Help > Troubleshooting Information. Press the "Copy text to clipboard button" and paste the information into your reply.
