CANCELLED - PROBLEM FOUND

About a month ago, I sent an email to a friend who unbeknownst to me deleted his email address. Ever since then, I get an un-deliverable email notice regarding this every day or so. How do I stop this notice? The original email is not in my outbox. Thanks for any help.

You will continue to get messages whilst ever the delivery process continues, and that is set by the server not Thunderbird. Usually they give up after about a week, but I doubt it will be more than a month, and it must be a pretty small mail server to go more that a couple of days, otherwise they risk getting blacklisted by the receiving server for undeliverable SPAM.
