For example I save and quite on a webpage at a specific spot an article and lets say said article is fairly long, well I'm scrolled half way down when I last closed it when reopened however its has either scrolled up all the way to the top of the page or is scrolled up to close to the top. I have no idea what this is or where the problem would be located. I have already used the troubleshoot reset Firefox problem still persists. Did not have this issued on Firefox 24.

The same exact issue exists for me, even with the upgrade to Firefox 26.0. I read many articles and depend on the browser to remember the position on each page when I restore my tabs / sessions.

I still have not found any workaround. It's a very annoying issue, which I took for granted with Firefox 24 and earlier.

Hi fromWinToLin, when I look at the bugs I linked to before, the developers have been working on it as recently as yesterday. Currently, the fix is scheduled for Firefox 29, but often if the fix tests out well among users of the bleeding edge "Nightly" version, it will be uplifted to the beta and aurora test versions and end up in an earlier release. But we're still talking about February 4th in the best case scenario for an official release. If it is added to the beta version, you could install that sooner, but I'd check in a couple of weeks because I expect a holiday slowdown.

i have chose one that might block anything on webpages. i have ghostery installed, it is not ghostery but i disabled it, restarted ff and restarted and reenabled the extension. it seems to work most of the time now. it does however sometimes does not save its position. it seems to be an issue with ff before it saves its session to the sessionstore.js file. thats all i know.
