My pdf files want to be opened with microsoft word instead of adobe reader, how do I cancel the direction to word and apply adobe instead?
Somewhere along the line while trying to open a pdf file, Microsoft Word was selected. Now, every time I try to open a pdf file it takes me to Microsoft Word where, obviously, it won't open. How do I negate the directive to Microsoft Word and apply Adobe Reader instead?

You can check the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) in Tools > Options > Applications

You can try the Options dialog. This article, while not addressing the Word issue, describes the steps to get to the drop-down list to choose a program: View PDF files in Firefox or choose another viewer. Does that help?
