How do I reformat my desktop to make a fresh start?
Hallo, I want to give away my old desktop PC. Before doing that I want to clear up everything installed on it. I've been told I can do this by reformatting the PC. How do I go about this. Many thanks in advance for any help. For infos sake - I'm not a tech savvy person, need step by step instructions. vaswolter

If your taking about your Firefox Bookmarks, passwords and etc..

There are programs that claim to securely erase your hard drive so that the information cannot be resurrected, but the one I've used is a command-line program that's hard to explain.
