My PC restarted after an unexpected shut down. After that I cannot view or download any video on Firefox brower.

I can still view Video from the same site on Internet Explorer browser and Google Chrome browser, but not on Firefox browser.

I have tried these steps:

1. Unistalled the current version of Firefox, and then reinstalled a lower version. Firefox 6. Problem still persists.

2. Performed a system restore on my PC, but problem still persists.

3. Reset Firefox, but problem still persists.

4.Disabled all add-ons and restart Firefox on safe mode, but problem still persists.

5. Tried to follow as many suggestions offered on the Firefox support page, but have not found the solution yet.

Hi,

You can install the latest Firefox from here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

After updating please also try reinstalling or updating all the plugins listed in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > Plugins and restart Firefox.

hello, though probably not related to the problem - but this needs your attention:

according to the system details that you have provided, an outdated version of the java plugin is present on your pc. this is a great security risk and used for drive-by-infections in the wild (it's enough to visit the wrong website to get infected by malware, no further interaction is needed). please uninstall the current java 6 update 18 from the windows control panel's program section and download the new version from java.com

please also perform a full scan of your system with your security software already in place afterwards and/or also use some of the tools listed in Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.
