I get this error code: www.facebook.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: a248.e.akamai.net , *.akamaihd.net , *.akamaihd-staging.net (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain).
I sometimes (but not always) get this error code when trying to access facebook: www.facebook.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only valid for the following names:
a248.e.akamai.net , *.akamaihd.net , *.akamaihd-staging.net
(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)
This is usually a problem for short time, but will reoccur throughout the day for 2-3 days, and then not be a problem for a month or more. I don't know what why this occurs, nor what I can do about it.
I use Firefox 10.0.2 and mac osx 10.5.8

Facebook uses such servers to store additional content media files and maybe CSS and JavaScript files.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
