I manage our inbox by deleting minor messages as I read them. However occasionally one of those minor messages becomes a major message and I need to return it to our inbox. Our "trash" box has started emptying itself automatically. So I am losing those messages. I want to turn this automatic feature off so I can manage our trash manually. What I consider trash a lot of times my wife doesn't, this is causing problems.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support. http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/support/
