Motive plugin 1.0.1.2.5 is installed on my PC. When I google it, there are concerns that it is a keystroker or other malware. Can you confirm this?

You're thinking of NPMOTIVE (written in CAPS).

The Motive Plugin belongs to to Microsoft Silverlight which is Microsoft's version of Flash. It's often used in videos to protect content which prevents you from downloading the file.

Hi Xircal,

Thanks for your response - greatly appreciated.

Motive shows up in a couple places:

- Program files/Common files/motive: In this folder, NPMOTIVE is not found. When I clicked on the "InstallHelper" it is published by Alcetel-Lucent.

- Program files (x86)/Common files/motive: In this folder there is npMotive.dll, and nothing else.

Does this change your answer any?

Thanks again, Jeff

Thanks silkphoenix, I found that too. That's why I originally posted my question - trying to confirm it is malware.
