Sorry to bother you Experts...I am a new, lame Firefox 3.6 user on my desktop. I am in a small town in the mountains where we get "brown outs" a lot from lightning and other issues. My question is this: I cannot see how to turn off the automatic recovery that Firefox attempts to do anytime my system crashes. Let me explain: When we have a brown out and we get power back....I can turn my system back on to reboot fine. When I go to click back on Firefox.....it will try to re-acquire every document, website, just anything I had open when the power was lost. How can I turn this off? I have looked through all the questions section and troubleshooting sections...and I am just lame and cannot see it. Can you experts help this novice turn off this feature...I just cannot see it! Sorry to be a pain...:>(

Set the pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.

See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Session_Restore

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
