firefox makes a lot of new windows when i try to press on an email link

I press on a link with email address then my firefox 3.6.4 on imac starts to make a lot of new empty windows so they cover my whole screen, hundreds of them.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Check the Mailto application in Firefox > Preferences > Applications Make sure that it isn't set to the Firefox application.

Thanks the problem was in the settings

Check the Mailto application in Firefox > Preferences > Applications Make sure that it isn't set to the Firefox application.

Now it works fine
