I own an apartment overseas and during the pandemic I cannot visit. However, the Owners Association keeps in touch by email (Thunderbird in my case) I used to be able to send a response to multi addresses, but it appears that I cannot do so now. Advice please.

re : I used to be able to send a response to multi addresses, but it appears that I cannot do so now.

Is that because you are now using version 78 and believe you cannot add more than one email address? If yes, then please read the information at the following link. There has been a change in the layout and you now put more than one email address/contact in eg: To or Cc or Bcc field.

Thanks. I suspect that I didn't make myself clear in the previous email, not by any means for the first time. I will have another go and hopefully make myself clear at the second attempt. If I receive a multi addressed email, it usually consists of single 'reply' to the sender and cc to everyone else. When I press reply the email reflects this and shows a reply to the sender and cc to everyone else in a separate box. However, when I have finished typing the response and press 'reply to all' it says after a few seconds, 'cannot send this email' Maybe it cannot be solved, but any further information and/or advice would be most welcome. Thanks. Peter.

PS. I have no idea which version I am using. However, since I have installed Thunderbirds recently, I assume it is the 78 version.

re :If I receive a multi addressed email, it usually consists of single 'reply' to the sender and cc to everyone else. When you select to read email you will be offered a set of buttons which may change depending upon whether there is only one recipient or more.

If you click on 'Reply' then the new Write window will only create a 'Reply' to the sender, so only a 'TO' field is completed. The 'Cc'd' email address would not be included as this is specifically a 'Reply' only.

If you clicked on 'Reply All' then the new Write window will complete the TO and Cc fields where the sender will appear in a TO field and all Cc recipients wll get put into 'Cc' field.

re: However, when I have finished typing the response and press 'reply to all' After completing the content you would then click on 'Send' button ( not Repy all)

re : it says after a few seconds, 'cannot send this email'

Is that the entire error message ? It is important to know exactly word for word what the error message says as it can offer a hint at what is wrong.

How many email addresses are you sending to in total in that email? Some servers place a limit on number of email addresses in a single email. Servers will also place limits on the number of emails you can send to within a given period of time. It might be only one email which you type, but if it has 100 recipients then that is considered 100 emails.
