Bing voice search stopped working

I suddenly cannot get Bing voice search to open and work/respond.. only images and regular search works!? Was fine until last week and even prior to an update from Firefox it stopped working on either pc's (one old windows 7 and new windows 10) It works on Edge browser and Fire Tablets, so I assume it is a Firefox issue ;( Has anyone else had this and how do I get it fixed?

Hi, what happens when you click the microphone icon? I just tested it for the first time and got this:

  • Firefox prompted me for permission to use one of the two microphones
  • The site transcribed what I said
  • After a pause where I tried to figure out how to submit that, Bing searched automatically

If you saved a permanent microphone permission for Bing, you could try resetting that using the Page Info dialog. Either:

  • Ctrl+i (for Mac, Command+i)
  • right-click a blank area of the page > View Page Info
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info

When the dialog comes up, click the Permission icon at the top to show that panel.

Scroll down to "Use the microphone" and either check the "Use default" box or click "Always ask". (You can close the dialog after that, there's no Save button.)
