I am a regular user of Firefox as a trusted server but cannot make a connection to the server despite my wifi being fully functioning.

Hmm, what error message are you getting?

You normally don't connect to a Firefox server except to connect to your Firefox account (for Sync, for example). Is that where the problem is coming up? Even if there is a problem with Sync, you should be able to browse the web normally.
