Hey Everyone, Go to about:config and go to layout.css.devPixelsPerPx;. Mine was set at 1.05 I changed it to 1.12 and it's much better. If you go above 2. everything gets to large.

Now, if only they would bring back the Extensions they took away like the Classic theme Restorer, Theme font and Size Changer, Save File to, Themes Menu and Tabs on Bottom ( Classic Theme Restorer lets you choose). I personally do not like my tabs above the search bar....So, to get that all back I downloaded Water Fox and I'm back to all that had before minus the Theme Font and Size Changer; it's been taken away there too but then again I really didn't need it for the whole browser looks great. I still would like it though for it has some other things you can do resize the whole look.

I hope this helps it did for me!

I Install Firefox Quantum 57.0 on another desktop and it came out perfect. So I went into about:config to see what the settings were for Layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and it was set at -1.0. So I went to my other desktop and set it the same. Now it's perfect.

Play around with it and see what you like best.

I still like WaterFox 55.2. 64 Bit better. Mostly because I can design it the way I like it which you can't do with Quantum; Hopefully, someday soon.

Hi JenaBee,

Thanks for posting the solution. It turns out that I needed 2.0 or above. The laptop has a UHD 3840 display. I had previously modified this before the Extension was created. When Fixefox updated itself the extension apparently went away, or at least I could no longer find it in the Tools menu. In any case, 2.0 to 2.4 works fairly well.

That's not working for me. I have Firefox Quantum on a new Mac and the menu bar is minute. I edited Layout.css.devPixelsPerPx from -1.0 to .1.1 and it helped some, but any time I try to go higher, it doesn't change.

Hi skyreburn

Is this only happening with the Firefox menu bar?

On Mac the main menu bar is under control of the Mac operating system, so unfortunately there is nothing that you can do in Firefox about this.

You will have to check the (Firefox) settings in Mac for the menu bar or try to ask advice at a Mac related forum.

Hi Cor-el, thanks for the reply.

This only happens with Firefox and Thunderbird, both of which are otherwise working faultlessly on the Mac. The Mac toolbars themselves are all normal sized, and the font size of the Firefox web pages is just fine. It's just the menu bar, which is really, really tiny. I've made it a bit better by choosing a theme that presents the menu in yellow against a dark background. Going into config and adjusting as suggested above does not have any effect. This seems to be a Quantum issue. The previous Firefox menu was fine on my Mac.
