How do I OPT OUT of being a Release Channel User? - I am sick of updates which take me out of other support, such as Trusteer Rapport

I get offered update releases, and try to keep up, but until Trusteer's updates to protect the new version are available I have to revert to using Explorer - the browser which I forsook to use Firefox, but which now really seems the better. If I avoid updating when the offers come they keep returning every tme I load the program. So I want to stay, undisturbed, with the version Trusteer is protecting until IT has updated.

You have several choices.

1) Do not update the current browser. Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select Update. Check the settings.

2) Install Older Version Of Firefox {web link} Be sure to read everything here.

If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

3) You should also check out Firefox; Extended Support Release {web link} ESR Notes System Requirements
