Firefox 50.0.2 and/ or Mozilla Maintenance Service is causing Windows 64 bit computers on my network to crash upon reboot. What is the fix?

I have several workstations on my network that will not properly boot into Windows after installing the 50.0.2 update and Maintenance Service. My end users have been performing several hard shutdowns in order to get Windows to boot properly( I do not advise this). This situation has been worse with computers that installed Windows updates during the same session as the Mozilla update. These computers get stuck in a continuous installation loop. Fixes that have worked include booting to safe mode and issuing " shutdown -r" in an elevated cmd terminal, or uninstalling Firefox and Maintenance Service completely from safe mode. Do we need to discontinue use, block your updates on our network, or is there another solution?

What's your computer system? 7, 8, 10 . . . . .

Start your computers. Then check Microsoft for updates. Once they are done, reboot, and check again.

Once you have gotten the No More Updates message, reboot. Then try Firefox.

Note: Many protection programs do not like the update stubs. Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
