Facebook won't load and have tried all the suggested fixes
I have tried all the resets and cleared cache's, uninstalled Firefox and reinstall. Disabled firewall, disabled virus protection. Same results. I have a brand new Hp Notebook running Windows 10 purchased 3 weeks ago. Kapersky internet security installed on first day. Facebook worked for 2 weeks, then one day tried to open and hasn't worked since. Works fine on IE. This is a example of what I see when trying to open Facebook. $n¢¨hõpFrÒê?Ð??×c÷|Úü¾Ï;‰ª«û½gº?¨¤?_ða?Ën?ƒ¹¸«KRI*ÐæR‰Å?Ι$l¢¿%áL’üx®L-%?>D9CùL‘«Üf??A½?"g˜~HµÛª],ðZ€¤ $ïª@ò^ÅsEs|?ùfÌb?âpö?r|Þ?Ï3ï,ùÖgŠ|’ÞÿÊÙÌØ(»RDÉ?¹qIª\y®0”ÿßòkÈn.Ùè…Ž??¢kÄœW¯ªÏÏgSÊUÕý›ž?½!eR´dáÁ ??¿N3£?¤Ãh?ÃÌzï·ˆ¨D@!Õf&C×Ö?SË?+À%Z?V}Ÿ»0hDèD•Äd¬*Ðý¾ë±‘`@”€Ié…é??[¿P ˆ4Є4-½p…ƒã’i†OÅâgÞëwø@êoÂR?’5Ï;/b’o•á?izéÇe?=‘ÊwÄZ÷É«|×ü)ø€¥€T¼ŸþG“üô?ž?*yyv]•a?¦äë^ù~¸Ó§ŸÿrÒË¿>ªnå¹Å2Ü,'½4ÿɧh·…û´?xÃ)\á?^???‚‡ÛØç?6`{JGãl³?8Ò–?Á*Œ£"‚ ¸k¿:¯Â¤WX…çÏ/„üwqú›þÍ“¿?I?üò¯°ˆüŒrI?½¿hÉ?IýÇãxFÏ4uEìgåsà—½Äþ?ïÞ?‡_?IyŸÎFeù¹ösáóòù³HË´¼}úÏÜϨ$—éÉÏNéíñöeI?ýÒeqß-ÂÊ…‘ Ô?ÊŸß’‡'±?ÙÊ-þþŒ²@’“(;ý?»?|´1?wÝ%??óû4?CÊ—¢Q?•Ö‡-`(?"—vȪK?

hi Djdrew, unfortunately that will be caused by a fault in kaspersky security software on your device which meddles with your connections. in order to fix this go to kaspersky Settings > Additional > Network > Traffic Processing and uncheck the "Inject script" setting. in addition, disable the scanning of secure connections like it's described at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER#w_kaspersky and reboot your system afterwards.
Thanks I will try that and post result. Would it still be occuring if I have disabled Kapersky? Because I did disable and it still happened.
yes, disabled often isn't really meaning "off" in the context of those security tools :-)
It does not happen on Internet Explorer. Different issue? Is it the connection between Mozzilla and Kapersky?
if you are interested in the technical background to this issue, you could see this blog post: https://miketaylr.com/posts/2016/05/anti-virus-more-like-anti-anti-virus.html
Thank you. I found a couple of forums discussing. Apparently Kapersky has been notified and working on a fix.
the workarounds i've posted in my first answer should easily fix this for the moment...
