hi Lincoln, are you running "trusteer" software on your device by chance? it has been identified as a cause for many upload issues recently... see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1102907 for example.

hello Philipp ... disabling trusteer did in fact solve my upload problem as you advised ... thanks a million!

I guess for now I will just disable trusteer when I need to upload something ... maybe at some point I will again be able upload with trusteer turned on ... or maybe not since the day I will have to abandon Vista is probably fast approaching ... are those with more up to date operating systems reporting this issue as well ?

sorry for the loss in your family & thanks for reporting back! yes, we are seeing reports on all different operating systems about this (windows vista-10, os x) unfortunately. i'm trying to raise the profile of this issue internally and hope that we can do some outreach to trusteer as well. so hopefully they can fix that as part of one of their updates...

hi again, we have heard back from trusteer and they are deploying a fix for this issue now (that's in version 3.5.1507.104 of their program). so ideally the problem may already be solved...
