BYD keeps installing. How do I stop it on Mac 10.8.5

I've been having all sort of problems with our Mac Mini, running 10.8.5 and using Firefox as our browser. I think I've traced it down to an extension called BYD, which keeps reinstalling on startup even if I remove it from Firefox. I know that this is part of the spammy Best YouTube Downloader app but I can't figure out how to REALLY uninstall it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  1. Shockwave Flash 11.7 r700
  2. Shockwave Flash 17.0 r0
